“Consistently vital and polished, with a nuanced expressive palette.” - The Miami Herald
Led by virtuoso pianist Mia Vassilev, this concert showcases a classically trained artist whose career spans major opera houses, symphony halls, and international festivals. Renowned for her technical authority and stylistic breadth, Vassilev commands the stage with the clarity and precision of a concert pianist while moving seamlessly across classical, popular, and crossover repertoire.
This concert draws from the vibrant sounds of the 1940s through the 1960s, weaving together boogie-woogie, Latin rhythms, early rock and roll, and symphonic pops through original arrangements for piano and ensemble. Joined by musicians on violin, cello, and percussion, the performance unfolds as a full-stage production, pairing intricate musicianship with striking visual energy and rhythmic drive.
