Step into the backwaters of old Florida with Mud and Blues, a swamp-soaked evening of music and storytelling inspired by the legends of the Everglades. On Saturday, April 25, 2026, The Swamp Blues Band brings to life the tales that rose from the mud — rum runners slipping through moonlit mangroves, pioneer fishermen chasing tarpon at dawn, early champions of environmental protection fighting to preserve a wild and fragile frontier, and even whispers of the elusive skunk ape drifting through the cypress shadows.
Driven by gritty slide guitar, hand-built cigar box guitars, wailing harmonicas, and a back-porch rhythm that feels like it was born in a juke joint at the edge of the swamp, Mud and Blues blends raw blues with rich historical storytelling. It’s history with a backbeat. It’s folklore with a growl. It’s the Everglades humming through wood, wire, and breath. Special guest appearances. Come get your boots muddy.
