My wife, Virginia, and I moved to Fort Myers 30+ years ago and planted roots in Gateway. Virginia was a 5th Grade Math teacher in Lehigh Acres and is a Board Member of the Southwest Florida Fencing Academy. Our  sons grew up in Fort Myers, legos in one hand, a sword in the other. Both sons have been avid fencers, winning dozens of championships across the state of Florida. 

The boys finally convinced me to pick up a blade, and oh, my... what a thrill! While I may not have the number of medals as the boys, I certainly have a great time with it.
